Wandering Through Central London

Some friends and I recently spent a Sunday afternoon wandering around "central" aimlessly.  In the process, we stumbled upon some really fantastic things.  The first surprise of the day was a wonderful cake shop called Brownie Box.  We were in search of some casual afternoon tea and just happened to find it walking down Old Brompton Road.  A giant slice of carrot cake and some Earl Grey (see below) were the perfect mid-afternoon snack.  The pictures say more than I ever could.

We then found ourselves in Leicester Square, but purposefully.  We were planning to catch a film at an old theatre called the Prince Charles Cinema where old and new movies are shown.  We were still digesting our sweets when we found something rather unexpected.  Fabulous M&M's World London, where smells of sweet chocolate are the only thing that is free.  Prior to this, my only experience with an M&M's world had been with the one in Vegas.  I am sorry to say that the London store has the Vegas store beat 10 times over.  Cheers to M&M's decked out in all-things-London!

The last stop of the day, before dinner and the movie at the Prince Charles Cinema (Casablanca, by the way) was a small underground pub called Waxy O'Connors.  Jessica had heard rumours that within this pub was a tree.  Naturally, we decided to investigate.  It was a beautifully intricate and completely unique place.  We will certainly be back again for dinner and drinks.
