Traffic Light Bop

Friday night saw us once again heading out to the Union to The Bop.  This week's theme was "Traffic Light", something I had no prior knowledge of.  For those who do not know, a "traffic light" themed event is one in which you attend in the colour the represents your relationship status.  Green = single & interested, yellow = undecided or in need of convincing, red = not available.  (By the way, the Brits are under the impression that the yellow light is "amber" or "orange" and doesn't just mean "slow down", but also "get ready" as it appears before the green, not just after it.)  Not surprisingly, the majority of us strutted our stuff in GREEN.

At this party, I also became aware of a new type of cheap alcohol.  In this case, it was Swedka.  Confused?  Allow me to define.  Swedka: (noun) the liquor (in this case vodka) absorbed by ones sweater after bumping into someone on the dance floor and having them spill their drink upon you.  In the strange case of last night, the Swedka happened to be a "Swedka and Lemonade".  I was offered some, but for some reason I politely declined.  Strange.

In short, the bop was wild, crazy, fun, and typical really.  It occurs to me now that I have not yet had a night out that was not full of hilarity and fun or didn't lead to good memories in one way or another.  I stand by my perviously made assessment: I LOVE LONDON!
