Karaoke Night

Tonight was the second Karaoke night of the year.  For some strange reason I didn't document the first one, but the pictures/videos from tonight should make up for it.  What started out as somewhat of a "lame" evening turned out to be one hell of a laugh.  It's nights like these that make me happy about my recent decision to step out of my comfort zone and go for it.  Jessica and I decided to sing, or attempt to sing rather, "Chain of Fools".  I feel it's safe to say that if Aretha heard this all the way in Tennessee she would plug her ears and cry because someone foolish let me have a microphone and the lyrics to her song.  As Elia put it on the way home, this is one of those songs that you think you know until you have to sing it and then you realise all you know is the chorus. Sorry Aretha.

Proceed from here with caution.

So we sang...or rather, Jessica sang while I croaked and choked big time.  Then we had a good laugh about it and enjoyed the rest of the night.  It looked something like this.

I realise that these photos and videos are not the most flattering to everyone in them.  I apologise, but I'm blogging in an effort to preserve the memories of this year and this night is not one that I want to forget.
