Once a month at the Union Bar, there is an event called "Club Foot". Indie bands from the area come and perform, and between sets and after the show DJs play only indie music. It's a nice change of pace from the music usually played every week at The Bop. So, for the first time ever, Jessica, Pepijn, Patrick, and I headed down to the Union for a taste of some local indie. We met up with Philipp and Jon when we got there. We had some drinks, listened to the live local stuff, and then danced like mad-men to the DJ's groove beats.
The first band up was a group called "Mayflys". They had a female lead-singer, which was cool. However, the balance of the instruments was off, so we couldn't really hear her voice or make out what she was saying. I didn't take very many pictures of the action, but Jess and I did play around with my new app "Incredibooth". I took some videos of the headlining band "BeatBoyz" as well as some footage of some incredibly enthusiastic dancers. It was a laid-back, but fun evening of dancing to good music with good friends. I'm not sure who's headlining next month, but I'm sure we'll make another appearance.
